OTHER SCALES:  We will produce decals from our original artwork in other scales on a cost plus 20% basis with a minimum run of 25 sets.  A $100 per run deposit is required.  We suggest that you purchase the HO scale sets as a starting point for any scale.  We cannot accept responsibility for the quality of reproduction or registration of decals smaller than HO scale.

These decals were developed by Bill Darnaby and myself and are probably the highest quality Monon decals ever offered.  They have been thoroughly researched and are made from actual Monon and EMD painting and lettering diagrams.  Most sets contain enough lettering to do two or three different pieces of equipment.  The necessary dimensional data is included with each set.

The decals were originally intended for our personal use in low volume.  However, we felt that they were too good to keep to ourselves.  We hope that you are as pleased with them as we are.

501
   JOURNAL REPACK DATA/WHITE
During the era when solid bearings were in use, they were regularly inspected and "journal oil" added as needed.  When the packing that allowed the oil to wick onto the bearings was changed the date and location were stenciled on each side of the car over the right truck.  Before the new stencil could be applied, the old one was painted over with whatever paint color was available, typically black or brown.  This new paint onto which the repack data stencils were applied lead to some interesting color variations in this area.  The Journal Repack Data decal sheet has over 50 repack stencils copied directly from sides of actual freight cars.  The decal set is arranged in such a way that the repack dates are printed separately from the location data so that any date can be added to any railroad/location.  There are over 50 dates ranging from 1945 through 1971.
