Santa Fe Transportation Company

Series 1000-1049 (50)

These 24' trailers were built by Brown and were called pups. They were built just prior to Piggyback service. I believe these were the first ones used in trailer-on-flat-car, but saw service with Santa Fe Transportation Company first. The trailers were aluminum but were painted white with all red lettering and numbers. The herald was red and cream. The hubs or wheel rims were also painted white.

I used the Athearn 24' trailers and modified them by removing one axle and the other set of wheels, replacing with Herpa. I also installed new mud flaps.
